Welcome Home (Part 1)

Seventeen days ago, we pulled our U-Haul up to this quaint little house and proceeded to unload all of our worldly posessions into it's four walls. Can I just say here at the beginning how glad I am that we are now 17 days past that, and life is settling into... life.

There's a second entrance to the house on the left side of the house (in the picture above), and behind the house there's a small fenced backyard and beyond that a really nice 2-car garage. It doesn't look like much, but for us, it's home. :) Please, come take a tour of the inside of my home. Let's start as you walk through the front door:

This is our living room - it's to your left as you walk through the front door. ...What was that? Oh! Yes! We plan on having Husker parties here! :) What else would we do with that crazy-big TV? ...Oh, of course. Yes, please come! We'd love to have you!

If you walk straight from our front door, you'll head past the living room and into the eating area of the kitchen. It's cozy, but it does precisely the job we need it to:

The colors of the house were really pretty much perfect for what we brought into it. The kitchen is tan and brown, which you'll note matches our kitchen chairs. The living room has white walls with brown and tan carpet (our furniture is all tan and brown with red accents), and the only room we really are doing anything with is the baby's room - more on that later. For now, back to the rest of the kitchen...

If you would go past the refridgerator and turn left, you'll find a side door entrance to the house, as well as the stairwell to the basement. I'll get to those in a minute, but for now, let's proceed to Part 2 of the tour, which includes the rest of the upper floor and finally the basement...
